  1. Courtesy Inspection Technician Pay

Forced branding on who? XOXO or the automotive shop? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Courtesy Inspection Technician Pay

A 2008 Chevy Tahoe and it doesn’t need ball joints???? LOL!!! Anyways, we pay our techs .2 for their inspections. However if the recommendations get sold, they get the repair. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hey Matthew! Thanks for the tip on that. Well actually what we do is for customers who’s invoice is over 250, we give them a small thank you card with a $2 dollar bill. We put it with their gas cap. It just says thank you for trusting us with your vehicle, have a drink on us. It makes a very great impression on new and existing customers. As far as thank you cards, we are actually mailing out Christmas cards for our top customers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Despite the great success I feel we are having at our facility, I still feel that we are not up to par with ARO and car count... we sit at about 200 cars a month, and for the very first time we have an ARO of $306. (This has been my highest grossing month so far.) I think where we lack is on closing the sale and do thorough follow ups with services that weren’t sold. I try to keep up with it as much as possible but being short handed at the shop makes it extremely difficult. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. With just over two years of being in operation I can say that I am happy where our company is sitting at. We started with just two bays, one lift, a compressor and AC machine. We were barely selling 7k a month. With heavy marketing, word of mouth and thanks to a national tire company (for sending referrals), we are selling about 55k a month and now have 8 bays, 5 lifts and a new Hunter alignment machine. But I do have to say that this is by far the hardest thing I think I have ever done in my life. I am pretty sure that all of us Auto Repair shop owners suffer through the same thing. But I think with some ingenuity, consistency and hard work we can overcome it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Advice needed

A technician like that is not worth having. His lack of workmanship will cost you dearly. Not only by losing a potential sale but by possibly putting your customers at risk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Our website is Http://www.garageguysautomotive.com We're pretty satisfied with our website but I always like constructive criticism! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. We have been using Mitchell TeamWorks for about 2 years now. And I have absolutely no complaint. I feel some of their add-on service are a little bit expensive. But I'm happy with everything I have. Definitely cheaper than RO writer and AllData Manage Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Shop Labor Rate

I have also been dabbling with the idea of raising our labor rate. I'm just kind of worried about future customers not returning because of that.
  10. Shop Labor Rate

Hi Spencer, I'm in the Richmond/Rosenberg area here in Texas. Our labor rate is at 78 an hour. I strongly feel that labor rate highly depends on the area of town that you are in and how much overhead you have.
  11. Mitchell CRM?

I've been using SocialCRM for about 6 months. Honestly, I'm pretty happy with it. They key to making a big difference in generating revenue from your exisiting customers is to input the info on the recommendations with follow up date and also in the revisions tab. I also don't like the fact that it doesn't show what it emails the customer, however I put in my vehicle info and my personal info in Mitchell and do a test email to see what it looks like. So far, so good Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Declined Services

Hey Totalautocare, the only way to track revisions on Mitchell is through Report Pro by Bolt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
