Great, I went to use my IDS today to reprogram a Mazda PCM and no more Mazda with the new update. Apparently there has been a divorce between Ford and Mazda. Anybody run into this yet? Have any workarounds? Sounds like you will have to get a Mazda disc like I did on the Jaguar..... Uhhh

Since I started getting reviews online I know that it has helped bring people to me. People do use the internet and how else would they get to know about you besides reviews when are checking you out in cyberspace? Yes there's good and bad in everything. And I'm sure it is people out there with false reviews but the genuine ones from the heart are hard to fake

I just got a direct mail piece today from my local Mazda dealer parts dept. They are offering free access to tech info. Anyone know about this? I knew that Hyundai offered free service.

ATI Re-Engineering Program
Gary A replied to Moonlight's topic in Management Coaching, Business Training, Consulting
Same here. What I do think is important is that someone takes the time to get to know the individual and the issues he faces and comes up with solutions for that individual. Not all shops are at the same level financially, for me personally I dont like the hard sell that some companies use. It also is not my intention to badmouth any company. They all must be doing something right or they would not be in business. I have been through different management training and I am just stating my experience. -
Thanks for sharing Xrac and have a Merry Christmas!

ATI Re-Engineering Program
Gary A replied to Moonlight's topic in Management Coaching, Business Training, Consulting
The only thing I can tell you when I was looking for training is that ATI was way way higher in price than anyone else and required a 2 year commitment. I know that you get what you pay for just like the repair business but as well sometimes you pay a lot and do not get good service. I have been through a number of courses and programs. I would check out Elite. They have a great website with training videos and audios etc that are very economical as well as personalized coaching programs to help you with your specific needs. The coaches are still actively involved in their own shop operations so the training is up to date. -

Here is a picture of a freak accident that happened at the dealership where my brother works. He said that the tech was checking underneath for a leak and he heard a creaking noise so he ran away quick and down came the car! He said the lift arm bent and the car fell off the lift. It is a rotary about 18 years old. Just wondering what everybody does concerning lift maintenance and safety inspections.

Personal Owner Pay? How do you figure?
Gary A replied to CARMandP's topic in Human Resources, Employees
Pay yourself a salary that you can afford to pay and then take from the net profit after that as you are able
