    • Auto shop owner new forum topics

Just got my e-mail on the latest forum topics. Out of 20 topics 7 are marketing ads from the same person. Also under popular forum topics of 5, 3 are ads also by same person of which no discussion took place. So how are these popular. I get a ton of advertising e-mail. Just didn't expect this from ASO. I do look into some ASO sponsor ads. But this is not necessary.

    • New Fluid Forum View Added

Today we added a new option to view the main page of the forum in a fluid view. This view will list out the latest topics (similar to the sidebar latest topics). If you click on the "Showing topics from all forums" link (highlighted in yellow below), you can filter which forums you would like to see topics from. You can easily switch back to the classic table forum view at any time. The 2 buttons are right next to the start new topic button.     Filter your view by forums:

    • Senior Discussion Forum?

Would it be viable to create a senior discussion forum where more advanced issues of shop management are discussed?   For example, mergers and acquisitions, creative financing, equity management, exit strategies, estate planning, etc?

    • Help bring back the safety portion of the Inspection Program in New Jersey

We need your help!   As you may be aware, back in July of 2010 the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commissioner did away with the safety portion of the state's inspection program.   Here is the PR:http://www.state.nj.us/mvc/PressReleases/archives/2010/071610.htm     The savings never materialized, two years later NJ.com reported that the state had lost over $12mm in savings:   http://www.nj.com/politics/index.ssf/2012/11/nj_motor_vehicle_commission_mi.html     We need data to support our position to restore the safety inspection in New Jersey!   If you have any highly neglected vehicles coming into your shop and the owners refuse to repair their vehicle please let us know. Document the record, so we can share it with our legislators!   People are driving thousands of cars that are highly neglected on our roads endangering everyone's lives.   Please email us with your concerns at [email protected] so we can push forward with this initiative.   Get involved, we hope to hear from you now.   Irma Diaz Assistant Director NJABA
