  1. When looking to achieve 60% gross profit on labor, do you add all labor cost or just technician cost?
  2. What expense percentage model do you try to achieve? I'm Current trying to achieve the following: Parts Cost- 30% Labor Cost- 30% Fixed Expense- 20% ( Currently not been able to maintain under 20%, due to loan and equipment lease) Net Profit- 20% Any inputs? Thanks!
  3. Higher ARO! Some times high car count with the wrong type of work will damage your ARO. The HARDEST part is getting the correct ratio.
  4. Been offering finance through CarCareOne for the past 3 years, with a decline rate of 70%. The rule here is: If they did not approve, why should I ! We have tried in house finance and it does not work.
  5. We have been using them for almost 2 years. We are very happy, our customers loves the digital report. ARO went up about 12%. We have the total package with the website and social media.
  6. Do you guys offer a loaner car? if yes, how does the liability part of it work? Thanks.
  7. Same thing with us here! At first I was scared when the numbers dropped, but them I realized that the profit was better! So instead of filling the bays with non profitable work we focus our attention on the good customer. Selling less volume but making a better profit. Great Topic!
  8. I'ts anybody having a hard time finding technicians? I have tried craigslist and other posting methods with no luck! Any inputs..... Thanks.
  9. Unfair competition, it's just not fair! You invest lots o money on tolls, equipment and training. You create an excellent environment for the customer, work hard every day to have an excellent customer service and then comes the statement: The guy down the street can do it for less! I have 25 shops around me and at least 20 of them it's unfair competition. I'm always redoing their work, but people still goes back because of the price. They don't do any mark up on parts and only charge 35 dollars in labor to replace brake pads on any vehicle. I did the math many times and it does not add up. How can they survive? stressful!!!!!
  10. We had a good January, but February was completely dead! It started to pick up on March but it was still in the low side. Let see what April holds.... Junior.
  11. We used a Snap On TPMS3 it works well. If you look at a labor guide, in my case ALLDATA it usually says 0.6hr to replace and program each sensor. When some one comes in (used car dealers/ other repair shops) just to re program the sensors we charge 0.5hr. Junior.
  12. We use AutoVitals. The good thing about it is that it integrates with most operating software and Google calendar! It also sends an e-mail or text reminder to the customer.
  13. Do any of you sell oil change packages? If yes, how much of a discount do you give? Thanks. Junior.
  14. Thank you Joe Marconi, Its a big commitment so I'm trying to get as much information as possible.
