Just want to say hi !

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, just wanted to say hi. Just found this site last night, and so far it is something that is long overdue. I have been a business owner for about a year and a half, so far not to bad. I think that this sight will give some good insite on what other shop owners are doing, especially in the current state of our economy. Anyways thanks for the great site. Welcome! It's a pleasure to have you on board. For me, it's been 27 years in business. Take from me, in today’s business world we need to network. As we share ideas and experiences we become stronger. With all the knowledge out there it makes perfect sense to align shop owners in a common cause. Thank you again and looking forward to exchanging ideas and opinions.

Welcome! I agree with you, I think this site will give others the insite on what is going on elsewhere and give shop owners the ability to get advice from our peers.

The need to network is more important now than ever before. With the knowledge we have, there is no issue that we can't solve with the collective help from other shop owners.

We need to make our claim now! The new car dealers that survive will be the strongest group of dealers ever.

Now is the time to increase our market share. If we miss this opportunity, I fear we will never have another chance.

Increase your marketing, training and promote you business by offering the very best in customer care.

There seem to be mixed opinions on what Business System is the best. And also, not all business systems fit a particular repair shop model.
There are a lot of new players in the past few years: Auto Leap, Protractor, Teckmetrics, Shop Boss, Shop Monkey, and more.
Are you happy with your system?  What features are important to you?

The word OSHA makes many shop owners cringe.
I was lucky enough years back to have my insurance agent suggest I perform a voluntary OSHA inspection. A private company did it at the time.
They found tons of violations; some we knew would be flagged, but most we did not.
Have you ever had an OSHA inspection? And what can shop owners do to protect themselves?

There is so much talk these days about pay raises for employees, raising prices, inflation, cost of living, and labor rate increases.
But when was the last time you gave yourself a raise? Or have taken corporate distributions?
