What are some pros and cons of having the service advisor for the shop also take the role of receptionsit/secretary, I am looking to hire a service advisor that could also take the place of our receptionist answering phones, checking customers out, keeping our side of the books and then of course writing services.

 

Pros and cons of having this one position???

i would rather them concentrate on the service ro's rather than answer general business phone calls. Those ro's are your bread and butter and you dont want to skew those numbers. my 2cents.

My service writer does everything you are looking for know. And when she retires in February I will not have the 2 combined anymore. Way to much stuff gets forgotten. I hope biz will dictate me to hire 2 people when she retires but as for now it looks like I will be logging a lot more hours for myself.
