So right now we currently use townfair tire as our wholesale tire supplier. I contacted tirerack and set up a wholesale account and the prices are so much cheaper. I can get the same exact tire shipped to me with all costs for about 25 dollars cheaper a tire. Does anyone else use tirerack ? I'm just wondering if I should be bringing this up to my wholesale contact at townfair and seeing if he could change my pricing or what not. How are people competing in the tire market? i just can't seem to get good pricing on them.

sparkerauto replied to sparkerauto's topic in Customer Experience & Reviews
Yes, always take care of what they have come in for. Wasn't sure if people would ask questions like "your at 90k miles would you like us to do your 90k service today?" Stuff like that. Thanks for all the answers guys ! -

Pricing markup matrix advice
sparkerauto replied to phynny's topic in Accounting, Profitability, & Payroll
sorry or bringing up an old topic but I have a question. im confused with the matrix. If the part was 5 dollars and I divided that by .3 it would be $16.66. How is that 70% of 5 ? Or am I looking at this wrong ? -

sparkerauto replied to sparkerauto's topic in Customer Experience & Reviews
Yes I am using tabs I'm hoping you guys get intergrated with them soon so I can try it out. I'm wanting to be able to upsell the customers right at check in for there regular maintenance and what not so I was trying to get ideas of how people do the check in process -
Hello, I'm looking to see what the different ways people are performing the customers check In. Using a check in sheet ? On your shop software ? Do you try upselling things as you check them in ? Just looking for different ideas thanks !

I have been part of it for almost a year now and i am not seeing any benifits besides the 24/24 warranty. Mostly because the person at the store we us does not go over things with us. Was just looking to seeing how some of you guys are benifiting from this program. Thanks

So I have an opportunity to rent out more space at my shop that will be located right on the main road (my shop is currently set back behind the main building). It's is a pretty large area which will be used as my waiting area and main entrance since I do not have one now. My question is how is everyone's waiting area set up ? Is it strictly lounge type area ? I'm thinking of maybe using part of the space and a little show area to sell products maybe wheels, hid kits. Basically aftermarket accessories. Just trying to get an idea of how people are utilizing there waiting areas and extra space in there shops. Thanks !

So I have been in business for almost three years, my shop is located in the city but in an area that is almost like a little town. My shop is set back in the back so people can't really see it from the street. I still get I never new you guys were here I have been living in the neighborhood for years. So I was thinking at the beginning of the summer doing some type of party, we have a lot of kids in the area so maybe something fun for them and also raise money for a charity ? Just to get people in the area together and then get our name out there. Has anyone done anything like this ? How has it worked out ? Thanks for the input !
