The devastation in Moore Oklahoma is far worse than you can imagine. Lives disrupted, families and belongings gone. Please pray for these folks and their community. Pictures do NOT do justice to the carnage. Drive through one of these areas and you'll have a different respect for mother nature.

The end of this week and most of next week I'll be out of town. Taking the boy to his first year of college in Denver, Colorado. It's a 11 hour drive from our house, and the van is loaded to the max. I wish him well in his new adventures and I'm also looking forward to "empty nesting". Empty nesting has its good and bad points. I know mom and I will miss him dearly, but I'm proud to say he's going to start college.

The last joist is up.. Whoo HOO.. now put the sheathing on... oh did I mention it's really steep... another goal to accomplish

the new IDS is here, the new IDS is here... I gotta get out of the shop more often, to be this excited over a scanner, must be a tool freak or something..LOL

the snow is starting to melt, next week is suppose to be in the 60's so hopefully people havent forgotten where to get their car fixed at... cause it sure has been slow around here... LOL

this is the local fair week for us... business slows to a crawl during fair week. Does yours??

This news isn't car related, but it was AWESOME never the less. I had a hole in one today. 150yd par 3... and YES I had witnesses. LOL

This week is going to be short for me. Helping the wife carry 50 (yes 50) show quilts to a convention at the end of the week. I'm the mule....dah not the quilter, that's the wife. Then when we get back this coming weekend I only have two days at the shop.... then VACATION!!! First time I've taken two whole weeks off, closing the shop (not the office) for those two weeks. Heading to Mexico, golf, ocean fishing, lay on the beach...and uhm...lots of Tequila.

This weekend my youngest...and yes... the last one still in the house is graduating high school. It's a big day for him as well as the wife and I. In a few months he's off to the University of Denver to study computer science. First time to be an empty nester... I think I'm going to like it. LOL Congratulations are in order for my son Mitchell! ! (super smart kid btw)

Today is the 13th. Lucky 13 for me. It's my anniversary. 22 years with the wife. We did the same thing we did 22 years ago. Golf and quilting, only difference is she went quilting, and I went golfing. Ah, how love changes things with so many years together. LOL She's still the best and I wouldn't change a thing.

Today, April Fools Day, is the day I opened my shop 33 years ago. I'm still foolin' them...they think I'm a mechanic or something. ROFL

too dang hot today... tried to play golf... shot an 80... my bad... better next time

Was asked by a tech college if I'd like to teach a class for them... what ya think? It would be a night class. Might be fun

We are expecting the worst snow storm in a century here in Oklahoma. If sales hasn't been off from the earlier snow.. this will sure put a hurt in the pocketbook.

We are in our last (hopefully) snow shut down. No work today. Thursday I leave for Kansas City for the Vision convention. If you're going to be there stop by the Babcox booth and say HI.

we got our first snow this year. more like slush, tonight it's supposed to freeze so it's going to a sheet of ice in the morning. lovely....
