My service writer took the first class this this week and said it was great. Great information.

I have a lot of waiters. But we are slowly turning them into drops. It's difficult breaking the habit. If it's a local person we take them home. More ideas would be great on how transition away from waiters. Thanks

I would focus on location first. You know better than anyone what you do best. Focus on your strengths as far as the servicesun you will offer. If you have a good following you won't need a brand name. Just yourself and quality work to start off.

I am csc in Wisconsin. The program is roughly like the rest. 2 year and 24000 miles warranty. Lots of discounts. Uniforms, etc. The biggest thing is do you know the actual parts counter people? I have a good working relationship with them. If I have a a good customer that has a part issue and they are way out warranty bumper covers no questions asked. My other parts stores are completely by the book. They won't comprise on warranty.

There are 2 new car dealers near me that dropped their labor rates from 110.00 down to 89.95. we already work hard for our customers. Now we get a price matching war. I really stress customer service with my employees

I am looking at pipe bending equipment
Wondering if anyone has suggestions. I have looked at huth. I am wondering about vogue exhaust. It is a program with a bender and starting inventory. It also gives access to name brand exhaust a extremely good prices. Thanks

I was wondering if anyone has heard of vogue exhaust. It's expensive but seems interesting. Custom exhaust bender

A couple of months in and the strap on verus has been good
Snappy bought back my verdict at full price. I got the verus free. I have the ford ids and looking to get more oe scan tools though. Ids is great

My customer link rep has pretty much told me to run. It was really good but they were bought out. I already noticed some little price bumps. Not to mention the dreaded automatic renewal if you don't catch it

I am going to have a clean burn rep come out and give me a quote. Checked out the reviews seems good. Thanks

I have been trying to build accessory packages for my customers when they get new vehicles. It's a tough sell. I have sold a lot of weather tech floor mats

This has maybe been started in another post
Looking to buy a waste oil furnace. There is a lot choices. Just looking for feedback. Thanks

I have been on the hunt for a kid like this. Just looking for someone that is hungry. Everyone wants to make top dollar right away.

Wondering if anyone has looked at the hybrid shop. It's a franchise catering to hybrid cars and reconditioning those insanely expensive batteries

Long before I started my shop I was a new guy. I put my nose to the grind stone for a while. The guys respected that. After getting hit with some snowballs it was cool. I was young and the only ones that had a problem were the general service guys. We got paid on partial commission. The stats got posted every week. I busted my butt.it was fun.

I use cintas. The guy that drops uniforms is great. He throws me free rags and soap sometimes. Mainly if they screwed up. But definitely watch for the random extra charge . They also have a automatic renewal. Got to watch. Don't be afraid to haggle.

Keep your head up. I don't if it's right. But at the start of every month I feel like the sky is falling. It helps me drive to make every month better than the last.

If I have a customer that is angry with another shop. I just change the subject to what we can do to fix their problem. Move on. However I have a little chip on my shoulder. Most shops in my area are family owned. For a long time. Some shops 50 years. Just a little respect would be nice. I don't have their history. I work Saturdays to pick up some extra customers. That's frowned upon. They do 8 to 5. Monday through Friday. That's it. It's like I'm breaking some code among local shops.

Where I am in Wisconsin I get hammered by fleet and farm. Their prices are insane. People buy tires get the mail in coupon and want me to install.

I have found that each manufacturer system isn't awful on price but to update each separately is ridiculous

I would like to eventually transition to the front. Has anyone had luck mentoring a young tech? I have a small shop and have a lot of competition. I can't believe lube techs get 18 dollars an hour

So far the snap on verus pro is good. But I am not buying unless snap on buys back my awful verdict. The modis only comes with a 2 channel scope now.
Found This in a Tire on Monday!
