  1. does he have factory navigation ? because some aftermarket kits you wire with reverse light and it by-passes the image from the navigation unit to the screen. if no navi, aftermarket complete kit is needed. but sorry i never installed in Highlander (so i have no cue to give to you on where/how to mount the screen)
  2. i'm in canada with cold harsh winters, so battery boosting is quite common around here, and yes i've witnessed another tech boosting a 3.8 GM (i was actually in a new car waiting for its engine to heat up so i could put the blower at work for the interior to get at a normal temperature before entering the shop to install a remote starter....because at -15°C plastic trims are very fragile + entering the shop with a car that cold, the humidity from the wash bay condenses on all interior surface and then freezes....so you get a layer of ice everywhere inside ! ) .... so he tried cranking but battery was completely dead (a trade-in that was left standing for a long time), he came back with a booster pack, cranked it (took a while but not too long either) and then the gunfire sound with plastic parts flying ! we ordered the intake manifold from the junkyard, replaced it and car ran fine.
  3. When i was at Acura, most lifts we had were Rotary, but mine was a Ford Smith... The BMW i worked at (largest in north america) have Technolifts... more basic than Rotary, but did the job. anyway, i'm looking to start my shop and i'm currently looking at Atlas (i'm actually looking to buy a few equipment at Greg Smith Equipment....i'd drive from Canada to pick them up) any of you had experience with Atlas equipment (any, not just lifts) ? any of you have dealt in the past with Greg Smith Equip. ? Their equipment is cheaper than most big brand names, but it seems to not fall close to those china stuff quality (they show all the details how they are built better than the cheap stuff). i'd like inputs from people who used Atlas please. Thanks !
  4. Thanks for welcoming ! one mechanic friend said : Information is the most powerful tool when shared. This is so the way to go !
