  1. I restored and drove this '67 Microbus from the age of 15 to just over a year ago, when I sold her. Still miss the looks and smiles that we would get from people while driving through town. As for WHERE do I see the most classics? Honestly, I saw heaps of them living down in Mexico. I actually almost bought this one for $3200 ... got as far as looking into all the paperwork needed to get it across the border and up to Michigan. It was surprisingly simple. I still regret not buying it. If you want to find a steal on a rust free classic, head down to a rural town in the heart of Mexico, and you won't be disappointed.
  2. I am having a tough time figuring this out in a 3 man operation (myself, two techs). Shuttling can easily take 15-30 minutes in our urban area. Pulling anyone away from the shop for this long would mean no profit on many repairs. I have considered hiring a retiree to handle this, but I cannot justify having him around all day for only a few runs. How do you guys handle shuttles, and who does the driving?
  3. Thanks for the list. Helped me to find Georgia's transporters. Going to make some calls and find out who is competitive: http://www.gecap.org/pdf/USED_OIL_LIST_011508.pdf
  4. I've had some good success with the VAG-COM for VW and Audi. Cost me $200 a few years ago and hooks into a laptop USB port. Great software. Does just about everything the factory tool does for WAY cheaper. http://www.ross-tech.com/
