We are currently at $135 and will most likely raise that the first of the year. I'm in the West Palm Beach area.

Take your car the quick lube and watch the guy(s) do your service, of he does good offer him a job, you will most likely pay better.

Have not heard of them.
I factor my CC fees into Costs Of Doing Business and adjust my labor rate, so in a sense I pass along those fees.

This is provided he has 100% EFL which I highly doubt.
True, most shops do not charge .3 or .5 to do an oil service but pay their techs that. This can be the biggest influence on the EFL depending how many you perform. You could add a matrix to your labor rate to help combat this.

Filing systems?

We scan everything with a program called File Center. You can create as many Files and sub-files as you need. All workstations have access as well. When we scan an parts invoice, it is dated with the customers last name so if there is a warranty situation, for example, you can find it quick. I have a part time girls that helps scanning, answering the phones, social ect. that helps with this. When we have County or City Environmental Inspectors come in, I have them sit at the computer and look at whatever they need, they love it. Having scanned files allows you to email copies of whatever to whomever is a breeze. Getting rid of the file cabinets was the best thing ever.
