Even if I hosted on my home-lab and had a backup on-site, there was never even a hint of interest from anyone. Being a nerd I am used to it. I get jazzed about something I think is so cool and everyone is like "eeeh." I started with the voice appointments and then extended it to full bay management and scheduling system for the front-desk and bay-leads. My local shop seems to prefer the old paper desktop 3ft x 2ft paper calendar planners I guess. No sweat off my brow but a hit to the old ego :-)

No real interest from the community here so I turned off the demo systems. If anyone wants to explore them just reply here and I should get a notification and I can turn them back on. There are two systems: one built by Claude AI and a separate built by Google AI Studio using their Gemini Pro engine.

That experiment went pretty well but it wasn't scalable as a multi-tenant solution hosting many shops. I worked with Claude AI to build a new solution that is built from the ground up to support multi-tenants and an enterprise open source identity management system to manage users. Tech nerd here chiming in on some IT basics... There are different levels of web site that can be created: Static website with information and perhaps a chat or message-us feature. Should only be less than $10/mo . . all kinds of levels in between . . An informational site with hooks into a shop operations system that allows for customer appointments, SMS or email status updates. Very interested to here what the community is using here. I'd be happy to answer any tech questions that you might have.

I know this sounds like spam but hear me out. I am a software nerd who had a few weeks of downtime recovering from a surgery. I used that downtime to learn about how AI can be used to create applications. The test scenario I used was an auto mechanic shop that had to manage 5 service bays. I got the idea from my local mechanic who uses one of those physical desktop paper calendar planners. He pencils in appointments literally on the paper calendar. My goal was primarily to learn about how AI can generate the apps. That is done. Now I have this app that is kind of done. I am not in the business of selling apps. I have no interest in that. I am posting here because it would be a shame to throw it away. I will post the application that the AI helped me generate as an open source software that is completely free to use. If you would like to participate in helping with the business logic (I am only guessing as to how shops operate) then I can make any updates that you all suggest. I can probably host about five shops on my home server if you want a clone instance of the app for your shop. Or you can take the code and run it for free on your own computer.
