About Me

My name is Scott LaPlante and the automotive service industry has been a part of my life since birth, or I guess I could say that I was born into the business. My father has had an automotive service shop since before I was around. For a few years living in Northern Maine, the shop was right next door to our house so after school and summers that's where I would be. Fast forward and now I am a partner in our shop located southwest of Portland Oregon. I have been actively working in the shop for the past 20 years and working on the business for the past 5 or so. We graduated from the ATI re-engineering program and have been involved in other management classes. I am involved in the day-to-day operations of the shop at this point and trying to work on the business full time. I am the divorced father of two boys, Alden and Oliver. Historic motor-sports and off road travel are a couple of my primary interests. I love this industry and plan to campaign for all of us to bring respect to our livelihoods by the general public. I already do it everyday so why not! Anyway, I think that we are the most honest, hard working and smartest group of individuals any industry knows. It's time we see some respect for the investments we have made and the freedom we provide for the motoring public.
