Well my vacation is all but done. A few more days and it's back to the shop. This has been great... taking a few weeks off was just what I needed. By next weekend I'll be back to my usual articles and silly comments. Glad ya got by without me. LOL just kiddin. Take a vacation .. it's worth it.

ON VACATION !!!! Be back in two weeks (Oct 11) I'm not sure how well the internet is down in Mexico, they told us it's no different than in the USA. So, if I'm not at chat on Sunday you'll know why. 2 weeks of no grease, grime, and busted knuckles. First time that I won't touch a car or a scanner for that length of time. Gee, I get to see what it's like...looking forward to the time off. BTW my shop is full...with work waiting. Mostly restorati...

This week is going to be short for me. Helping the wife carry 50 (yes 50) show quilts to a convention at the end of the week. I'm the mule....dah not the quilter, that's the wife. Then when we get back this coming weekend I only have two days at the shop.... then VACATION!!! First time I've taken two whole weeks off, closing the shop (not the office) for those two weeks. Heading to Mexico, golf, ocean fishing, lay on the beach...and uhm...lots of Tequila.

Just heard that ASE will be considering a new classification. L3 Hybrid/Electric ... Sometime in 2015. End of 2014 actual tests dates will be posted.

From the time I open the doors til' the time I close them I've been super busy the last couple of weeks. I know it won't last... school starts in a few weeks, I don't know why but that always slows the shop down. Enjoy it while ya can I guess.

Today is the 13th. Lucky 13 for me. It's my anniversary. 22 years with the wife. We did the same thing we did 22 years ago. Golf and quilting, only difference is she went quilting, and I went golfing. Ah, how love changes things with so many years together. LOL She's still the best and I wouldn't change a thing.

The devastation in Moore Oklahoma is far worse than you can imagine. Lives disrupted, families and belongings gone. Please pray for these folks and their community. Pictures do NOT do justice to the carnage. Drive through one of these areas and you'll have a different respect for mother nature.

Finished up the next video for Dayco Products. This time I was the guy doing all the talking... pretty neat gig. Don't know how it will turn out, it's going to take a bunch of editing. It's not so much being in front of the camera as it is trying to get all the words they want in one take. Really takes some practice to get this down. Hopefully the next bunch I do will keep getting better and better.

Busy day.... finally got the replacement transfer case for the 2000 Navigator, got that installed.... took me most of the day with all the little jobs popping up. It's good to be busy.

If you're wondering where I went. I was on assignment to Kansas for the Vision convention, and to make matters worse.. we are switching internet providers so I only have access at the shop. Should be back up by this Saturday or Sunday

Well, I guess I forgot, I did have a story for this week afterall. Oops... just posted it.

If your wonder why there was no story this weekend, well... I was on assignment for ACtion magazine. I got back Saturday night and didn't have time to post. Don't worry, I'll be back next weekend as usual.

Tuesday 2/05 I'm heading to Florida for the MACS convention. I'll be there until Saturday. If anybody is in the area of Ft. Lauderdale stop and say Howdy. I'm on assignment for ACtion Magazine covering the convention.

Really dead today, took the afternoon off. So what did I do? I went home and worked on some unfinished articles. Still working, just not turnin' a wrench today

Had an interesting day. I taught at a local technical (automotive section) college today. Showed them how to do a parasitic draw test with a volt meter, how to read and understand relays, and how to find a back feed on an electrical circuit. Really cool... hope to do it again.

Internet finally straightened out. The receiver box was the problem. Internet for about an hour, then nothing for about 3 hours. Well, back to work. Gotta pay for it now... LOL
