Has anyone successfully moved to a sop platform like Process Street, Sweet Process, Pipfy or any other. It is time to bring our SOP's into something where they are easier to apply, self spawn, remind, and actually live in a fluid environment. SOP folder trees with word documents on our desktop just don't cut it anymore. I am looking to integrate process's with a calendar and ideally text reminders as well as tracking completions for repeating tasks.
Any input is appreciated
Hey guys, just wanted to report my great experience at the Creating a Buzz class put on by WorldPac. The instructor is Bogi Lateiner of 180 Degree Automotive and the All Girls Garage on the Velocity Channel. You may remember her from her AMAZING waiting/lobby area that doubles as an art gallery. Really awesome if you haven't seen it just google 180 Degree Automotive.
Anyway the short of it is the class is GREAT for those of you whom are always asking about marketing tips and what to do. Its also a good primer for a lot of the older owners that feel they don't have a connection with the millennial generation. There is a lot of really really good information in this class. I personally got a lot out of it and even for those whom have been exposed to a lot of this material its great to be exposed to it again. You probably haven't implemented everything you wanted to from other training classes or good ideas you've heard. This is like a shot of adrenaline to get your butt into gear to actually get some of those marketing initiatives started! Bogi is a great instructor and you can certainly tell her passion for the industry. Definitely aligns with my WHY (you'll learn about that in the class).
I highly recommend this class. I have no affiliation to WorldPac but I figured you guys would get a lot of value from it.
Ok folks need a little input here. I have signed up for a 3 month trial program in a local coupon rag. Been surveying my good customers as to what gets their attention when they are browsing the sales flyers. Most respond with a FREE anything. Now I have been taught that there is no VALUE in free and I am trying to avoid the free "trap". At the same time it seems that everyone in town has a FREE this or that. And I did have a fellow tell me one time that "Ya gotta play ball in the field your in". I already feel I set myself apart from my competition in my honesty and service. My tag line is "Honesty and Integrity are your guides in caring for your car" What are your thoughts? What is working for you? Thanks for the input! Jeff.

We advertise in a number of different channels (Valpak, Radio, House Hold Savers Magazine, Internet, etc.) with coupons and specials we are running. For about 1 year we ran $19.99 Oil Change and $24.99 Oil Change Tire Rotation coupons. We saw increased car counts from these coupons but also noticed that we were getting customers that were not interested in hearing about anything wrong with their vehicle or preventative maintenance related. For the most part it seemed as though these types of customers were only interested in getting the "cheap" oil change and getting out as quickly as possible. For the last 2 months we have gotten rid of these types of coupons and added different coupons. We have noticed a drop in car counts related to this course of action. Just wondering how many of you all use these types of coupons and if you have any luck converting these customers?
